Virgin Voyages from $99 a night, plus a 70% Chase transfer bonus

Two of the best public travel deals right now both expire April 30, which gives you about two weeks to act. A third, Virgin's spring savings, runs longer if you need more time. Here's what's worth your attention this week.

Virgin Voyages semi-annual sale

Virgin Voyages launched its semi-annual sale on April 15, with rates starting at $99 per sailor per night on select 2026 sailings. It applies to Caribbean, European, Alaska, Panama Canal, and Pacific Coast itineraries.

Why this matters: Virgin includes all meals at 20-plus restaurants, gratuities, WiFi, group fitness, and basic drinks in the fare. So $99 is close to your all-in nightly cost, not a base rate with fees bolted on.

Important caveat: this deal does not combine with Virgin's other current promotion, spring savings. Depending on cabin type and voyage length, one will outperform the other. The $99 sale tends to win on shorter sailings and entry-level cabins. Spring savings wins on longer voyages and nicer cabins, particularly for couples.

Chase Ultimate Rewards to IHG: 70% transfer bonus

Chase is running a 70% transfer bonus to IHG One Rewards through April 30. Every 1,000 Chase points becomes 1,700 IHG points.

Why this matters: IHG's luxury portfolio includes InterContinental, Six Senses, Regent, and the Vignette Collection. With a 70% bonus, redemptions at these properties can easily land above two cents per Chase point, well above what you get booking through the Chase travel portal.

Standard transfer bonus rule: only transfer when you have a specific booking in mind. Check award availability first, transfer second, book immediately. Transfers are one way, and award space disappears fast.

Virgin Voyages spring savings (if the $99 sale doesn't fit)

Virgin's spring savings offer runs through May 28 and includes up to $1,000 in Instant Savings plus 70% off the second sailor, which makes it the stronger option for couples or anyone booking longer premium sailings.

Run the math both ways before booking. The two Virgin offers don't stack.
